ANKARA - KENT PARK Shopping & Entertaintment Center (u/c)

Located in Eskişehir Road of Ankara, next to CEPA Shopping Center (160,000m2-u/c).

New Shopping Center called Kent Park, will be 200,000m2.

It will also host an entertaintment center. Details are not revealed so I am not sure if it will have a small covered theme park, but I know that there will be a large bowling alley and an ice skating area.

Their designs are compatible with CEPA so, looks like two of them will function like a one shopping center, 360,000m2 in total.

















It will also have residental blocks.

On the other hand there is CEPA Shopping Mall 160,000m2, which is already topped out and being cladded right now. It will completed this year. After the completition of Kent Park it will probably act as a part of it. It will host the biggest fast food court of Turkey, and first two-storeys Carrefour.

Yes. I was expecting a skyscraper there. Therefore I am a bit upset about it. Reason of non-skyscraper residentals might be the height restriction in Eskişehir Road.

Depends.

Current biggest mall of Ankara is Ankamall - 302,000m2

Well u/c CEPA is 160,000m2, this will be 200,000m2 according to some ad in newspaper. It looks like they will function together when completed (they have included CEPA clearly in the project map)

So it will make 360,000m2, then it will be the biggest of Ankara.

But it is still a question mark, whether they will be considered as a one united mall.

have you ever visited Ankamall after it renamed like this? If yes, how is it, impressive sutructure, or not?

I did. It has a simple architecture. But stores and corridors are large, and day light can enter the mall, so it is more fresh than Armada and former Migros. It holds good brands. So it is a plessure for me to shop there, although it is simple.

It could be a nice if they had splitted residentals, still OK though.

I haven't noticed the residental construction yet, but shopping & entertaintment center is pretty fast.

CEPA (completed one) has only 4 halls, but Kentpark u/c will have 12 halls. Both are owned by AFM, therefore I guess they planned CEPA to have less halls (4 is a very little number for a mall in Ankara)

so, System, I guess it is possible to go there by "dolmuş" from Kızılay for now (till metro line will be complated)

You can go there by bus from Kızılay, dolmuş's are from Sıhhiye. Any bus going to ODTÜ, Bilkent, Ümitköy, Konutkent etc. will stop there.

When metro completed ODTÜ station will be next to this mall.

You can go to Armada by using the same buses, Armada is before the CEPA. But still Ankamall kicks the ass, imo.

En son 2 hafta once Ankara'daydim. Cepa cok guzel olmus. Genis koridorlari, aydinlik holleriyle Amerika'daki "mall"lar gibi olmus. Fakat benim burda bir sorum var. Bu iki alisveris merkezi - hem de 2 cok buyuk AVM - yan yana yapilinca nasil tutunacaklar? Hem de ikisi de Armada'dan 2-3km uzaklikta olmalarina ragmen... Bu AVM'lerin birbirlerinden farklari neler olacak ya da olmali ki tutunabilsinler? Nasil bir "masterplan" ongorulmustur bu iki AVM hakkinda? Bilgisi olan varsa lutfen beni aydinlatsin, keza su an icin Ankara'nin bu bolgesi AVM'lerine doymus durumda kanimca...

Sanırım farklı mağazalara yer verecekler.. Zaten haberlere bakılırsa, 300 mağazalı Antares'e 2000 mağaza başvurmuş. Yani bunlar doldurmakta hiç zorlanmazlar. Armada biraz daha üst gelir grubuna hitap etme derdindeydi zaten, (ama şu an o kadar pahalı bir yer değil) şimdi daha bir ortaya çıkar bu..

Armada'da guel magazalar var dogru ama bence Cepa'da da ust gelir grubuna yonelik bayagi bi magza soz konusu. 2000 inanilmaz bi sayi. Umalim da her iki alisveris merkezide - Cepa ve Kentpark - farkli markalara yer verirler de kaliteleri dusmez bir anda. Atakule, Karum ve Galleria'ya olanlari hepimiz iyi biliyoruz...
