NBA (David Stern) plans to integrate some european cities to the NBA (so not the same like NFl Europe)
I have heard of Madrid, Cologne, Berlin, Athens and London. To be also a NBA Europe city Istanbul wants to built a new 16.000 yeater "NBA Arena".

NBA Europe HAS to have Lithuanian cities involved.
Basketball is the national past-time there. Berlin 'Bombers'. home court of the 'Hangar'. Istanbul 'Byzantines', the home court called the 'Harem'. |

I'll give you that the gap in skill has closed considerably since the '92 olympics, and we did get our asses handed to us in Athens (mostly due to the fact that the team had only been playing together for a month), but in a showdown between two teams that have been playing with eachother and practicing the whole year, I'm guessing the NBA team would be favored

The 'Euro' shits all over the US$ so money won't be that large a problem, providing you can sell 12,000+ seats a match for 40 odd home games a season.

Yes, but im willing to bet that if you put together your Euro Team most of the team would be NBA European players.... Well, I know at least 2 Euro Players that would be on it for sure.
