I've liked these towers ever since they were announced. So... are they under construction right now? Any pictures of that?

Demolition of previous buildings in the area has started and by the end of the year construction will start too.

yes it will be, however the Citta della Moda tower will be finished first and it will become for a few yrs the tallest Italian building. A major tower of the height of 500m plus might be built in Milan - Rho area, if Milan wins the Expo bid... further info on the official Expo website: http://www.milanoexpo-2015.com/eng.php
