Has anyone ever bothered to think that it will look a lot better once this project is finished?

how will the BCEC Expansion affect the appearance of the train station. two unrelated buildings. Perhaps (hopefully) once the Expansion is finished Southbank corporation or QR might consider some how creating a better flow between the two buildings. as far as i know there aren't any plans for that.
PS when is the expected completion date for this one we looking at sometime 2011? |

They are planning to upgrade the station. Im guessing the parking out fron will be replaced with pavers and become a kind of square. |

Redress, the BCEC project doesnt have anything to do with South Brisbane train station, if like what 0_128 is correct and they are going to pave the area out front, then that is a very small step, but the whole station needs to be redeveloped not just some pavers.
0_128, where did you hear that they were going to upgrade the station? |

Central won't be upgraded for quite sometime...
You may see some small 'improvements' like better air circulation etc, but a full upgrade won't take place for a while. |

I think they're holding off on Central because they're hoping someone will take some interest in building over the open space on the corner of Creek & Ann.

If it does, which I highly doubt, it'd only involve that mysterious ramp up to the southern end of the station. They might create some sort of a linkage between the centre and the station this way, which could be useful. Despite being back to back, the pre-expansion Convention Centre has terrible PT integration.

They are not touching the station at all. The QR upgrade is seperate and in maintainance only type work.
