Are there concrete plans for 200+ already, or is it just a vision?

Don't know whether it's concrete, I think glass, brick and steel will be more likely.

There are impressions, but they're still kept secret. However some forummers (including myself) have already seen them. It was a misunderstanding, we were not supposed to see them.

I think I know which render that is. And if I'm correct that are not projects, but just a study to see what the possibilities are and calculate on it. We need investors first before projects pop up in that area.

true dr dubai is talking about a render from a study initiated by the municipality. no definite plans at all. it is a very cool render though. hopefully a property developer will want to step in.

hmmm

The skyscrapers are not really renewing/fresh to me

Maybe that is the fault of Berlage institute which is very conservative and likes to use modernistic architecture in contemporary means. It still has a lot of influence in architecture.

There is an exhibition of the future of Brussels capital of Europe made by Berlage institute. I went to see that exhibition to discover what those people think of our city and I was really disappointed.

I thought I was going back in time eighty years. Those ideas are not new and very boring! They belong to a different time! Don't implement it in this time!

It's time to make a revolution against the dogma of modernism which is still not dead.

True. I also think Rotterdam needs more unique designed sky-scrapers. Hopefully they will be build near the central station in the next 10 years (they want to transform that area with new high-rise towers). The towers that are build right now, give the city a more dense feeling then ever before. Maybe they aren't that unique, but they don't look bad. Besides, the number of new towers that are u/c or being build in the future is amazing for a European city with 1.200.000 inhabitants (metro Rotterdam).

@ Hori...

Berlage Institute has (almost) no influence in the city.
