[Budapest] Metro 4 - Page 14

Really bad news! The ground collapsed into the construction site of the metro station of Tétényi road(probably because of the raining)! It broke a water and 2 gas pipes,so the site is filling with water,and there is explosion danger.

Additionally,in the radio they've said that the TBM hit an uncharted gaspipe.

TBM hit a 150 mm waterpipe, that was not shown on the map. The water filled the construction site, which made the wall slip, that broke two gas pipes...

I hope something like this wont happen in the inner city...

Index says they were building an ventilation shaft(thats the word?),and then the ground collapsed.the lack of support under the pipes resulted in their brake. They say that the water only flooded the shaft,but not the station,and the TBM's didnt do anything. The first one is 15m from the station,and the second is 200m. The builders say that they are 12 days ahead of schedule. The TBM was planned to reach the station at 20th of Sept,but now it was to arrive tomorrow. This is a setback for 6 days.

Its sooooo good that metro4.hu only puts new pics up,when there is something bad happening. In this case,they've put up pics from inside the station. Enjoy.

I like those plants in pots... It remembers me an old Czechslovakian movie I saw this summer (unfortunately don't remember the title), it was about workers at a junkyard. When the commitee of the party arrived, they rolled out red carpets and placed plants exactly the same way to make the sceen nicer. Some things have not changed since the 60's.
Hope there will be a celebration again when the other TBM reaches the station

Soon they have to and will pull the first TBM through the station... They have to do it before the second arrives. The vibration of the TBM Nr. 2. could be harmfull for the laser compass and the other sensitive equipmentd...

If it is like 200m behind,as was said,then it should be there in a week. I hope they can do the towing in ~7 days...

It should be already in the station where they are going to perform the necessary checking and repair if needed. I want them to hurry... Cant wait to see the TBMs arriving to the next stations...

Speaking of Bosnyák square, we have yet to see the plans and renders of the last 4 stations. As far as I know, they are not displayed at metro4.hu.
