Wow, even western media doesn't bash China this badly.

Relax, let go of the politics. Go to China and you will feel the pride

Go to China for China, the beautiful country and its people, not the corrupt and awkward Chinese government. We are proud of China as a society and as a people, not the Chinese government or the Communist Party. We have an attitude that can be summed up as: "The government and its policies will come and go, but the people and the country will always be here."

Hey im sorry, I don't wanted to attack you that hard, dont missunderstood me, I just wanted to point out that I would not be proud of a country just because of the buildings and skyscrapers it has, in my opinion there are other categories on which you should decide if you are proud of a country or not, for example if they care about human rights or the envirenment or their own folks......if you dont think so its ok , I will respect your point of view.

And I was sure for 100% that someone will come with the argument about german history...... , I dont care im used to it .

Yeah thats absolutely ok how you explaned it, and I agree with you.
My language was to hard I dont wanted to cause so much trouble, but political things have a heavy weight in my type of arguing about countrys, so I said and still say that I would be everything else than prod about China atm.
If you leave politics out you really ahve lots of reasons to be proud of china thats right.

if you become all nosy about other countries political systems, and base your opinion all on that it makes you look bad in my eyes tbh. at least i as a chinese person myself don't have a problem with my OWN country or govt, i don't see why someone like you would want to care so much. get over it.

I have to agree... to an extent. I suppose its really subjective. I've heard of Shanghai's skyline being compared to a space station, among other things, but I don't agree with some of the architecture. I don't like the Jin Mao Tower nor that TV Tower thing, and some of the buildings are too angled and sharp for my taste.

But I wouldn't say 90%, maybe 30%, the majority are alright, neither good nor bad.

A Chinese has TONS of reasons to be proud of being a Chinese, more then almost anybody on earth. They have given SO much to the humanity, yet they've always been humble about it.

So grow up, learn and widen your (narrow) horizon.
