These pics were great this is more of the type of pictures i'd like to see. They let you know all the details which are being built into the building that we cannot see from the far away flikr shots.

Look at how tiny the workers are compared to the building.

What is the height of the Oriental Pearl Tower? 468m?

How long until the SWFC passes this height?

Yes, Oriental Pearl is 468m and SWFC is now ~450m. A few weeks yet to be the highest in Shanghai.

I think it's a safety net, and the "boxes" are temporary bracing securing the whole structure until the top bridge is built.

The safety net is visible on this pic:

Hi,

I guess the cloth is to prevent objects from falling, so a kind of safety thing. The orange boxes must be supporting frames to help build the top of the metallic structure. I guess they'll be removed once the horizontal shape is fully assembled.

That is one clear shot of Pudong. I hear most of the year is hazy with smog. Is that true? I saw that Discovery show about the SWFC. I thought it was absolutely surreal seeing that shot above the clouds where you saw the Jin Mao and the Pearl Tower. I wonder if Shanghai will have enough supertalls in the future to look like a city in the clouds.
