Whatever, it only has to be at least 18 meters high. Maybe a giant sign with: "Taipei101 sucks" on? Anyway it won`t happen. I have to face the reality

I hate to say it, but the fires being on so many different floors scattered throughout the tower don't seem like an accident. There are too many safeguards in modern skyscraper design that prevent spread of fire like that, and it's hard to imagine fire jumping over several floors without spreading to each one. I'm sure there is more to the story than we will ever find out.
I'm just glad that there were no injuries.

I think the story is completely plausible. If there was welding work in an elevator shaft, and sparks hit something flammable, it's easy to imagine the fire spreading to intermittent floors. If you've ever watched something light fall, you'll know that it moves around a lot in the wind. With lots of holes in the cladding, it's completely believable that the ash would blow onto certain floors.

I don't know what you're thinking, but it seems kind of silly to even imagine that someone planned this.

I think this buidling should be called the BBO Building ... Beer Bottle Opener Buidling ... if a big giant came down from outter space and wanted to drink his big beer which he brought down with him from outter space, he would simply use the top of the building to crack open the top and sink it back!!!

I can just hear the sound now .... Tsssss ... which reminds me .. its nearly Friday night drinks.

PS. All jokes aside this building is very impressive ..

You might be true, although i am from shanghai, but i still have to kinda agree with you. after the fire, almost everyone got to know the almost-finished swfc from the news/internet etc

they might deliberately set the fire to get more attention over the world...

I'm not surprised by that. What is the punishment for arson in China like?
