What is the official height at this point in construction for the SWFC?

That second picture looks kinda scary being up so high looking like you're standing on the ledge.

Awesome pictures, thats 2 of the heightened floors added. 10 left before the sides start and the Hole emerges.

Agree I wonder from which location the third picture was taken

(OK, I didn't realize the Jin Mao was in front... taken with a good zoom from Pearl Tower!)

the highest roof of jin mao (base of spire) is 370m. so that photo gives you a good indication of its height. i estimated 368m, so looks exactly 370m not including the lev87 rio.
cheers

Impressive, most impressive. I can't wait to see how they construct the region surrounding the hole.

I am wondering if there are too many observation decks within such a small area(SWFC, Jin Mao, Pearl Tower)...
Also, I doubt if people will go to the observation deck of Jin Mao after the opening of SWFC observation deck.

That'll give them an excuse to convert it into a "seven star" restaurant - those Shanghai folks can never seem to get enough restaurants.

Thanks alot ssfan. The thread title says 492 meters but since I'm used to measuring in feet it's hard to believe this tower is going to be 1614 feet tall. The World Trade Center was only 1368 feet tall. 246 feet is alot. The Jin Mao is 1379 to the top of the spire right?
