Is it my imagination or have a lot of forumers stopped posting in this thread? Is it because the SWFC has topped-out and they have go on to other projects, just like a plague of locusts go onto the next field once they eat all the last one?

Thanks for pics sky & big-dog. Looking good.

Haha, you might be right. For this forum buildings are already aged by the time they are finished. Some sources are indicating that in fact the Burj Dubai has already began aging from the perspective of the forumites at a tender age at -2 to -1 years (*joke*).

Id guess the architechts are more inclined to keep the interest for longer and extend it to photography and other post-construction esthetic admiration activites for buildings. Whereas engineers are more interested in numbers, buildingskeletons, constructiontechniques and what id call sheer monstrousity .

This photograph posted on the previous page by SkyMyHusband courtesy of tclayton1946 on flicr is such a "right click - save" image altough the quality is not top notch. Could anyone else take a photo from that angle?

Btw there is something charming about the seemingly picturesque lack of order and planning about Shanghai, ive always thought that. Just look at the skyline, an observation tower thats not the highest building in the area, curvy roads, seemingly randomly spread skyscrapers.

The Goofy hole! Are you kidding me the hole is beautiful! It is a masterpiece! Without the hole this building would be so boring and it would just be basically a remake of the 2 International Finance Centre.

Lol your probably right, it would have been bland. Its just I would have liked the circle sooo much more.
I still like it allot though.

Not officially, but remember it's East Asia so things like that aren't really openly talked about on an official level. It's just these things go without anybody having to back down.

I actually like the credit card vs. coin as a reason for the square instead of the circle!

There's nothing more colorful than Chinese cities at night. Spectacular pictures.
