hopefully this will happen. but what's with the limit?? i've thought they'll build the Shanghai Center, and this will be definetly over 500m tall
Actually, I think the world finacial tower will end at 510m. The local government couldn't help to increasing the height to show themselves to call world's attention.
Now, the tower apporches to end, it already over 500m.

I think there is yet a lot of work to do on the upper floors, and externals are not ready for cladding at this time.

Due to the same, the temporary bracing will not been removed before all the steel reinforcement will be achieved on the whole top of the structure.

yes, the cladding couldn't go any further until the cranes and work elevators are removed.

It looks some kind of work on the top has been finished.

"Normal" floors need 2 vertical cladding panels, bigger upper floors need 3.

You can see the cladding supports next to come in the last pic: first one (level 88, just beneath crane supports) is 3 panels, next are 2 panels supports installed all the way up to floor 94 (levels 89 & 90 normal 2 panels cladding, 2 panels supports under construction on the facade of levels 91-94), big observatory level divided with 3 panels sections.

honestly, shanghai financial building design is kinda boring looking. it looked so much better in the renderings for some reason. could be just the conventional reflective square glass cladding.

I don't agree with you SWFC is out of this world, you can't build this building 10 years ago or without all the new super computer and new software.

Thx, for the excellent pics, skymyhusband...

First, the cladding is a bottom-up-system, it will stop beneath the cranes until they're gone
Second, I think it's very clever to have 2 cladding parts for the normal floors and 3 for the bigger ones, by this you don't see the differences in the floor heights when you're looking at the whole building. But on the other hand there's no vertical arrangement. Maybe because of this the building seems a bit boring to thyrdrail...
And finally, the hole is SOOOO huge when you compare it to the construction cranes... wow...
