I have noticed you have posted several photos from this same angel. I wonder if there are these same angel photos from the beginning of the construction?

If somebody convert those photos to video file, it would be awesome time-lapse video.

pointless factoid no. 35554644.336: one record this will hold is the highest sheer vertical drop of any building in the world. 492m from roof to street level i believe? that used to go to sears tower (about 438m or so). great if you're a BASE jumper!

Fascinating.
I'd say just the reverse personally, obviously some new buildings have gone up but other than the SWFC I wouldn't say the skyline has changed as much as you'd expect given China's recent growth. I'm no expert but wasnt 97 just before there was a serious downturn in the price of office space in shanghai that was part of the reason for the SWFC being delayed?

600M is not the case I'm afraid

Judging from the main core configuration and setback, the tallest uninterrupted structural drop is the wall of the triangular tip in between the SZR and South Wing which extend all the way from ground to the roof of Tier14 (Base of L152).

Quite an impressive view looking directly below, a wall that stretches all the way to a vertical height of 564.9m.
