discovery channel "Extreme engineering", each window frame come from italy,weight 700lbs each!the entire window frame was not bolt in as I original assume,rather it was "hang",inthis way if there's earthquake or typhoon the entire window will just sway .

*just quickly updating shanghai's construction progress*

- xujiahui center comes alive, officials said that its going to be the tallest in Puxi, so at least 300+?

- there is Disneyland proposal in shanghai, looks like they are going to build it overall. will be finished in 2012

- the expo stadiums are u/c now!!

does anyone think the building would look better or worse with the bracing shown in the renders actually visible??

i kinda like it the way it is, i think having seamless lines gives way more soar....?

On the large pic taken yesterday, you can see that vertical beams of the temporary bracing under the level 100 skybridge is removed (clearly seen on the right).

I think dismantling of the large horizontal parts will come soon now

And SIFC rising in the foreground
