Seems like they are moer focussing on the podium instead of the top-floors cladding..

The map is very outdated. Final version is 220m tall and 50 floors.

Nice snow picture, not something you would associate with Shanghai.

I don't know if it has been mentioned in here yet, but the hotel operator in the SWFC will be Park Hyatt. It is also indicated that the lobby will be on the 87th floor, meaning that there will probably be some nice restaurant options on the very same floor. I've been wanting a day time dining option on that height in Shanghai for some time, since the Cloud 9 bar in Shanghai doesn't open until something like 18-19.00 and doesn't serve dinner.

Quote:
Park Hyatt Shanghai, due to open in July 2008, is a sophisticated modern Chinese residence occupying the 79th to 93rd floors of the Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC), otherwise known as "The Vertical Complex City". Situated in the heart of the Lujiazui business district in Pudong, the 492-metre SWFC, with it's 101-storeys, will be one of the tallest buildings in the world, making Park Hyatt Shanghai the highest hotel in the world.
Nice Hyatt presence in Lujiazui with the Park Hyatt in SWFC and the Grand Hyatt in the Jin Mao.

^ I think the Ritz-Carlton hotel in HK's ICC will be higher. The restaurant on the 118th floor will be at 469m. Unless the hotel will extend above the hole at SWFC then the highest hotel floor will be lower.

You are right the ICC one will be higher, but it won't open till 2010. Park Hyatt will enjoy two years of the title been the highest hotel in the world.
