It looks like they face some technical or financial problems!

I agree! Maybe because it is unbelievably gigantic!!

Does anyone know if this building is still on schedule? I'll be in Shanghai at the end of March and it would be amazing to go to the top of this beauty!

Ok, thanks. I'm flying home on April 1st so it's a close call. The queues might also be massive to get up there.

It's a long shot but does anyone know if it'll somehow be possible to buy an entrance ticket in advance?

Some cladding in the inner left column.
Second tower crane back? (A smaller one).
Can someone tell me why the substitute of the second crane is smaller?

I guess because there's no more heavy lifting left, and because the substitute crane needs to be dismantled at the top. Just guessing.

@Densetsu: Unfortunately I don't have a camera. Maybe some mobile shots if I'm lucky enough to go up there

the bigger crane is used for heavy lifting. for example carrying steel columns

the smaller one is used for lighter jobs such as lifting up the curtain wall

The smaller crane is a FAVCO R370... it's a recovery crane..... It's job is to dismantle the M900D....

The R370 will then lift a derrick crane... an SDD20-15 up to the top which will in turn recover the R370 to the ground...

The derrick crane will then be dismantled and taken down by the elevators.

The R370 can lift heavy loads.... the heaviest part of the M900D would weigh around 20-tonne..

Frankly saying, I don't like this building. Nothing very interesteing but for the height. Jin Mao is much more elegant ant attractive.

I don't think there's much progress since last week, since it's Chinese New Year and all workers went home for celebrations.
