Looks like they are pretty much done with the cranes. They probly will just start to use the service elevators to bring up any needed materials.

doesn't bother me. in many countries civil aviation authorities have created height limits for buildings and have for many years. canary wharf in london is much lower than it would have been if london city airport wasn't right next to it. i think this may have been more the point he was illustrating, rather than the obvious topical one.

The different in roof height is much more substantial, and that's really what counts.

How many, if any, records will SWFC hold when completed? It's so close to T101, how tempting is it to add a quick spire to get WTB for a few months until BD completes! OK, it would look rubbish, but I'd say worth it. A building like this deserves some recognition over T101 & the other 'Spire High' club members.

I'm pretty sure it will have the world's highest observation deck at the time of completion. However, I don't think the title will stick for very long.

No it absolutely is NOT worth it. Compromising elegance and design for a title that it would be able to hold onto for less than a year is a very bad idea. Titles are temporary, design is permanent. People are just gonna be like, "wow what a fugly building" after it loses the title. However, if there is no spire, then people will eternally think, "wow what a beautiful building"
