I love the perceived density shown in the last picture. I'd love to see Pudong covered with buildings.

You guys make it sound like Pudong is somehow 'undense'.
Compared to Puxi, HK Central and Midtown Manhattan, Lujiazui is not as dense, but it still has world class density of office space, and there are few areas on this planet where there are so many 200m+ buildings in such a small area.

The last thing Pudong need is more density. In fact, the last thing any city need is more density. Hundards of sky scraper cluched together may look "cool" to some people or it migh even make sense ecnomically, but what it doesn't do is appeal to the human beings that actually have to live amongst them.

Pudong is a perfect example of how a business district is supposed to be planned and how healthy and sustainable living might actually be achieved.

it would be good if IFC is about as tall as the tallest point of its construction cranes on the pictures above

2 of the IFC will definitely enhance the skyline

Still with that said, I think Pudong/Lujiazui could use more buildings and less grassy fields. Fill all that empty space in and pack it in.

If you ask me, this is what the design should have been for the Freedom Tower in NYC. This design is just so amazingly majestic, that Shanghai must be proud to have a stunner like this in their city.

I hope to see it for myself before the turn of the year!

The favorite tower for every alcoholics. I just can't stop imagining using SWFC to open an 800-meter-tall beer bottle when I look at it.

WFC makes the Jim Mao tower, one of the world's tallest, look insignificant. What a building!!!

That is the most hysterically funny observation I have heard in a long time!
