I don't know whether this question has been answered before but when does SWFC officially enter the top 10 world's tallest building list?

When it's finished

It'll be the 2nd tallest completed building when finished.

By total height including spires the SWFC will be third.
By roof height it'll be a clear first until the Burj Dubai gets completed.

It is already oficially the second tallest buiding in the world. A building needs only to be topped out to achieve such a status. That is why the North Korean Hotel is considered the 23rd tallest building in the world although it was never finished.

Offical world tallest building list can be found at the link: http://www.emporis.com/en/bu/sk/st/tp/wo/

Spires/Antennas/Big spikey thing on top!

Regardless, the SWFC will still be the highest building in the world when it comes to roof height/highest occupable floor for the time being.

The best thing is that even though the Burj Dubai'll be the highest building, it will not have the highest observation deck/floor. Awesome.

I hope it's the latter.
smog is a portmanteau word (combination of two words): smog = smoke + fog

The haze is probably not just pure water vapour (fog), and probably contains smoke like substances as well (e.g. particulate matter, ozone, etc.).

hi guys,

now i can really say that something is wrong with me this night I had a dream that i was at the SWFC and was running around at the lower part of the big hole up there.. well. there was a squash pitch, so that was a bit out of reality, but otherwise it was pretty scary..(now I know that I am afraid of heights)

but, one thing surprised me.. i didnīt see jin mao anywhere.. maybe a dark vision?

I hope shanghai centre don't get built anywhere near those two. Starting from when Jin Mao was built, it was giant of the City or even the country, then SWFC came and stood next to it and shrunk down jin mao . Same thing will happen with SWFC.

(was twister6284 being serious or sarcastic there?)

these cluster will be simply awesome. just imagine, a 421m tower will look small in it , even the SWFC will be only the little brother...and that with almost 500m!
