It wouldn't be such a bad idea and install spire somewhere at the top of the this building and extend height to 520 metres or something.

That would be a very bad idea.

One spire I agree would be a very bad idea, but two spires one at each edge of the top would look great.

Anyways... back on topic. The SWFC is coming along great! How much longer do they need to keep those ventilation holes open? A few days? A month or two?

This building is my favorite project on here. Burj Dubai's height is awesome but it gets so thin up there. SWFC's broad shoulder and square base remind me more of the NYC WTC towers which I have felt a strong attachment to ever since 9/11. (Of course, there are differences such as the hole and the chiseled top and the lack of a twin tower, although it does have Jin Mao as a partner.)

So... I have been following this thread for the last few months, and I feel a personal attachment to the SWFC. I love it. It's like an even taller WTC to me. But this time, I hope it stays up forever!

@ Milansson: I have had several dreams of wandering around inside the WTC in NYC, but never thought of dreaming about the SWFC until I saw your post. Maybe now I will have SWFC dreams some day. That would be cool!

No adding on to the SWFC. Some ways I can think it can look cool with spire or spires on top.

I agree, I can't imagine a spire that wouldn't mess up the whole look of the building.

@ 5th (2nd last pic) of Skymyhusband's post: Neat, but geez! China really needs to get their pollution problem cleared up. It seems like half of the pictures I ever see of SWFC have smog in it.

SWFC looks like a sharp knife in this photo.

That's when the typhoon come in once in a while to clean up the air. (scientifically true) Any one have photos of materials lined up outside the building to go inside? Like desks, beds and etc... I wonder how they're distributed in the tower though, probaly up the elevator.

If all they were going to build was 2 supertalls then I agree they'd have been better apart but a 3rd close together should work well IMHO.

If they added spires like these, then the SWFC would look like the world's largest taser.

I say leave the design as it is.
