Yeah right. That's what happens when you power a country of a billion people exclusively on coal.

Coal? Yuck! They should install solar panels instead like Northwest region (USA) are doing it lately to improve the air quality.

china already has much more solar panels installed than europe....but still, it doesnt help.

I am afraid the only thing that helps is building nuclear powerplants at a huge scale......

They could give incentives to builders who incorporate photovoltaic cells to their windows on newer skyscrapers. Basically, the entire window would be able to harness the power of the sun w/o having to waste land.

I know how you felt. I had asthma by Los Angeles's polluted air. Now my asthma is gone by living in one of cleanest air cities in USA, Seattle.

Nope, under construction are: floors 88&89, top of structure is bottom of level 90. See diags.

But no matter the # of floors at the top, those are huge levels, only 12 of them for 92m high to go.
You just need to follow the diags to evaluate progression.

The Pacific Northwest is mostly powered by the Grand Coulee, the largest hydroelectricity project in NA. Also, there are a bunch of dams on the Columbia River.
I think that muddy pic was taken from inside of a dirty window, that's why the air seems specially bad.
