It's beautiful when skyscrapers actually touch the clouds in the sky.

Hey- today's (June 4) SSC banner features Shanghai! Too bad SWFC isn't really visible. Pics here are better anyway!

Wow I wonder, it has risen past the core? Is the height to the bottom of the 'hole' yet? I have to agree in the renderings, that the rectangular hole appears alot nicer than the circle. On another thought, I can't get over the facade on the 'Aurora' building, alternating gold and silver. EXCEPTIONAL!!!!

Thanks XiaoBai, your pics are a good point of reference

SWFC is now equal to Jin Mao (top of spire!) at ~420m.

Tuned-mass damper installed on SWFC

Tuned-mass damper (wind damper) was installed on the 90th floor of SWFC. The two tuned-mass dampers weigh 150 tons each. The wind dampers are used to resist the building's shaking caused by the wind.

Those shots of the towers disappearing into the low cloud are awesome, wish the towers back home did that.

SWFC doesn't need so much because of the bracing and overall rigidity.

But that's a lot yet, 2x150 tons 400m above ground
