That's an interesting question, how will they build the bridge with the cranes in this position. Are they going to build the bridge around the cranes, or will the they replace them somehow to side? It will definitely be interesting to see it getting build by the day, in other words thanks everybody for the updates.

I think they will build the lateral columns, then attach some smaller cranes externally to those columns (one on each side), remove the 2 central big cranes and then finish the last horizontal bridge on the top.

Doesn't it make sense?

donno what you are saying ZZ-II version is more realistic ..the external cranes version you mean like in the case of Rose Tower (333m) in Dubai ?? it had a last crane on it's side for the finishing toches

The crane on the side of Rose Tower was not installed at the end, it was there during the entire construction progress and climbed up with the tower progressing.

It like the construction of the hole hasn't started yet.

No, there were rumours that China would try to use the SWFC to beat Taiwan but Taipei 101 is 508 metres and SWFC will only be 492m as the thread title suggests. That is unless they pull an ESB and add some height in the last leg, though, that is highly unlikely.

I don't think so. Last week on the previous floor it looked like the hole was starting but that's just the way they put up the steel. Still a floor or two before the hole, I believe.
