cheers mate
According to this model, yes skybridge will be floor 97. So I think the mezzanines on floor 94 will count as floor 95. I wondered about that. And thus bottom of the hole at level 96.

Then we have top skybridge = floor 100, top plant floor = 101 as top of the structure.

Yes, the whole big 94 level with the 2 mezzanines (95?). A lot to go

Great models and shots, thanks for posting

But what difference does it make? Taipei 101 won't have the title for more than a few weeks more and then the title will be far past it.

Official title is when building is topped out. For BD, wait 2009...

We only speak here about official title. Of course, BD will gain unofficial title in the coming weeks.

But SWFC could gain official title for several monthes.

I honestly wouldn't like it with any kind of spires. I remember seeing an interview with Mori a couple of years ago and he said that they could have chosen a design with a spire but they want a building with character, and not one that "cheats". He said something along those lines anyway

I've seen on some models a mobile crane installed on the top... maybe it could be enough to grab the title

thanks skyhusband and dasilwil.
just on the BMU, when it does come out it could intertere with spires, so it maybe to hard to design a BMU to navigate around them.
FYI, the tallest 3 bldgs in Singapore have turns at being the tallest when each of the tallest (280m) deploy there BMU crane every month.

With a design as cool as this one, who really needs the WTB title, especially if it's only for a few months? Personally, I give a lot more credit to projects that accomplish height with originality and do so without using a spire. Plus, it looks amazing. There is a lot more to praiseworthy architecture and design than height. Taipei may be taller, but that's about the only thing it's got going for it. Aside from that, it's ugly and stands out like a sore thumb. This building though... this is exquisite!

so what happens to the bldgs inside the perimetre of the columns? seems pretty silly. Ive helped build a 1;500scale model of sydney over 11 years to construct and we made sure columns werent part of the model.
great model btw

^ Thats true, but i guess they wanted the model to occupy the entire area of the section to give a more grand feel to the city model. Btw the North bund tower is there.

i wonder what they will do with the L-Shaped piece of land that is covered with grass on this pic.

Its to big to do nothing with it, but it also wouldnt make sence, to put a skyscraper on it.

maybe some low-rises?
