You are not alone, i also like the Jin Mao better

It seems that steel construction work will be finished with one crane only?

Well, I am alone when I say I prefer the SWFC to Jin Mao. I used to have a soft spot for it but since the Shanghai Financial Center rose up, I'm liking it over the Jin Mao.

You're not alone
I think a more sophisticated cladding on such a simple, efficient and geometric design would be a mistake.

I like Jin Mao in its own too, those are two very different buildings, not to be compared.

I think opinions will change when SWFC is finished. Doesn't look very sexy in the current status, apart it's so tall.

It's so geometric that it doesn't suffer any defect.

I like the contrast of circular hole with recangular shaped building. I also like the ferris wheel in the circular hole..

But great building still..

@Culwulla: progress is on one side only, I agree with 445m high. We have 2 levels on the column yet, I reckon lower one is skybridge level.

Second crane not installed yet, still laying on the top.

Future Shanghai Center 500m+ will fit exactly between Jin Mao and SWFC on this pic:
