I'm flying back to Seattle from France (did study abroad) on the 29th...I wish I could've flown Air France but their one-ways were double what I found at British Airways. But I've never flown British before so I'm psyched about that anyway.

well i just watched a video about this on king5.com

Air France is apparently a huge hit. This flight is practically sold out until the end of the summer!!! Air France could change the plane to a 777 if things continue as they are!!

Very nice, and it looks like a beautiful day for the first arrival! (Although too bad it wasn't a Boeing product that returned home!)

I'm an airport geek...what approach did they take coming in? From the north or south? My guess with clear weather it was a south approach, but not sure.

And guiness, thanks for the king5.com tip. Nice report, didn't realize this is a result of 12 years of effort! Persistence pays off! Sea-Tac is definitely solidifying its position as the northwest international gateway.

I think the flight path yesterday was in from the north... I like that way much better, you get to see the city.

The winds on the 11th varied from 230 to 190. That means they came in on the 16's. (From the north)

Nope, Air France says that they will probably switch to a 777 if demand is high enough...

awww my computer won't play the king5 clip! What does it say?

And I don't have a problem with Airbus. I have unconditional love with anything French (or at least part french). I'm sure my dad thinks I'm a traitor since he works for boeing.

to sum it up:

-people in seattle finally can get to the heart of europe
-the flight is sold out through to september
-and Air France will likely change the plane to a 777
