I managed to peer up the viaduct over the weekend (through the hoarding).

It's huge. Higher than the Queensway!

thats the funny thing with the viaduct, its a major building project in its own right yet as it is being done in conjunction with all this, then it is sort of over shadowed. if this was done by itelf as part of the construction for the metro, we'd be going mental over it!

Thanks for the update feltip - i have been itching to see the latest progress


so is the blue metal framework that has been put around the steel to keep the concrete in place whilst it sets? how will they continue this all the way up the tower?

Wonder if they are slipforming it all in one ? with just the isolated columns separate.

It is where the core for the lifts in the Hotel building is going to be.

That bloke is going to be digging it all by himself as well by the looks of it.
