Ljubljana ring

I took pictures of North and West parts of Ljubljana's ringroad. If I'm correct, this is now the 3rd report about Ljubljana ring.

Approaching interchange Zadobrova A1/H3.

We go for H3.

Motorway ends, speed limit 80 km/h here.

H3 expressway starts.

First exit.

Second exit. These snails in the front were driving at 80 km/h, so something needed to be done.

Oh yeah!

WTC...

Some new developments.

Blurry.

1500 m to interchange Koseze.

We go forward.

A2.

Joined A2.

Three lanes?!

If you take this exit and drive forward, you'll end up in a ZOO.

1300 m to interchange Kozarje.

Well this was interesting, this electronic sign showed that construction works ar on going at Southern part of the bypass, when I took the shot, it turned off.

We go for Trst.

Nanos exit is closed, because H4 is being built there.

Very nice!

Why not replace all "Lj." with a tab?

like this:

I thought the same, one "Lj" would be fine.

We've already talked about it. Great photos, Ripley, I think that information about the exit Nanos being closed is too soon, and no one knows where that is anyway. How do you now get to Nova Gorica, btw?

Otherwise, how did you like the H3? It's quite deteriorated, isn't it? They fixed some parts, but I don't know why they can't repave it all at once, the same with the southern bypass, they repaved sth last year and now again. Btw, I see a lot of foreign trucks on H3 in transit. I guess GPS suggests them to use the expressway instead of motorway, because it's some 1.5 km shorter, and trucks can't drive 130 km/h anyway.

I'm not going through Nova Gorica to reach Italy, for now, still using A3, Fernetiči border, but when H4 will be opened, I'll be using that route.

I'm always using H3, because almost everytime I fuel up in Ljubljana at AS24 station, maybe you now, it's located here. Pity you raised tolls on your motorways, now I had to pay 160 EUR in both directions instead of 100 EUR and thinking about going through Austria and then into Hungary to bypass the little expensive Slovenia, but something tells me, that going through Austria is still expensive.

That is why you shall avoid H4 in future - it will require Slovenian toll. The route trough Italy (Fernetti(či)) is toll free, and then the Slovene toll is significantly lower on A1 - A3 route...

I can only fuel up at AS24 stations, because I use a AS24 card which my boss gave to me. This time I was driving to Trieste, delivering cotton to the port, I fueled up in Maribor and on the way back during the night, because Italians loaded my truck in Padova only in the evening, I fueled in Ljubljana.

Yes, that's is why I knew, it was in Ljubljana.

No, unfortunately Maribor will still be a nightmare to drive through most of this summer.

Not really, only about 2 km, even though it may look more. But it will be 1 euro cheaper for cars; I'm not sure about trucks.

So im wondering, highways-wise, what has been done in Slovenia so far and much more importantly, what is left to do?

Some sort of a freshly-updated map would be nice

In the first post. So today we crossed the number 500 - we now have 509 km of motorways (including A5 ).
