Most people use 1.

well, 2. and 3. are with vignette.

I think x-type posted once best without-vignette route, from croatian motorways.

You mean because of Pesnica roundabout?

Is there a sign like this on H3 west bound before going to A2 towards Kranj (and vice versa)?

If it's not it should be in my opinion.

here is the link. it is only for direction from Gruškovje, but is helpful for this route from Žetale, too. number 1 is the best.

2 is now ok. 3: H2 trough Maribor is a vignette road.

30-km queue between NW Ljubljana and Logatec this morning due to new roadworks. They even closed the Šentvid tunnel for safety reasons because of the queue.

Haha, my parents just told me they needed 1h 45min to get to Logatec on the old road. The saddest thing is they didn't even go to the seaside, but to western Slovenia. I don't know why they didn't go through Škofja Loka or Polhov Gradec.

30 km, that is quite un-Slovenian, right? That's why I always avoid driving on Saturdays in July or August. People act like sheep, they all go to the beach / mountains / camping.

They didn't know about new roadworks by Logatec, so they didn't expect it. They weren't sheep enough to go on the motorway (well, they entered the southern LJ bypass, but they left it immediately), but they were sheep enough to go over Logatec (and Idrija) instead of like this.

I'm interested in tomorrow's queue in the other direction.

Extreme Slovenia:

Footage, mainly from motorways, during the March Bora wind storm. Gusting exceeding 200 km/h, severe damage to road furniture and overturned trucks.

That's already somewhere in this thread, I think. It damaged the new part of H4.

Anyway, today's record queue on the western Ljubljana bypass:

I have passed there yesterday afternoon, and the queue was about 1-2 kilometers long. They replace the asphalt with the concrete pavement in the third track, and hopefully add the fourth track for the Logatec exit.
Why Slovenes do the roadworks such as this in the middle of summer?
Another remark. On that lane there is a third track for slow vehicles from exit Vrhnika through exit Logatec to near to the gas-station Lom, where the third lane is missing, and again is appearing near after exit from the gas station. If you drive in the overpass lane, what most of us cardrivers do, because of frequent lorry to lorry overpassing from slow track to middle one, you can often find yourself in the situation to brake quickly from 130 to 90 kmh to avoid a car from the middle lane who is just avoiding a lorry who is overpassing another lorry.
So I'm making a plea: PLEASE BUILD THE THIRD TRACK ON THE LJUBLJANA-KOPER LANE OF THE PRIMORSKA AVTOCESTA THROUGH THE PETROL-STATION LOM ENTRY AND EXIT!

that's why Verso posted twice today, and it was also the main article on news.

Personally I find it normal.

Yes, unfortunately. 100 km of traffic jam around a major Dutch city is pretty normal

@darko06

another solution is this:

this in Slovenia is only before tunnels. In France I saw that for all 3 to 2 situations.

Yes, it is before the first tunnel (Dekani) and before the second tunnel (Kastelec), but only in the Koper-Divača (climbing) direction, and I am usually very careful at those places. In the opposite direction (Divača-Koper) there is no such solution.

That's just before 2 or 3 tunnels.

#3 is without vignette.

Here is absolutely clear toll-free bypass of the ring near Pesnica (Maribor-Sentilj):
