^ That's b/c it's not a flat country, but you can often speed with 200+ km/h, and very rarely will you have to slow down to under 150, let alone 130 km/h (the speed limit), except in tunnels, of course. Btw, check winding Swiss motorways.

Bulgaria isn´t a flat country at all either, but they build many bridges and higher up the fundament when neccessary to make the motorway as streight as possible. but we still don´t have so many motorways.

Well, the motorways are designed to be the least intrusive possible, while remaining financially more or less affordable.

How is the traffic in Slovenia? Disciplined like Germany, or reckless like Portugal, Belgium or Italy?

^ Which one? Zagreb-Ljubljana? Except for the difficult (expensive) part, where the two sides of motorway aren't one by another (but at least the new one is ok), they only added another side, where the old 2-lane expressway was straight enough (and that's most of it). The same goes for the Kranj bypass, which was already straight enough, but a few kilometers later (towards Austria) it wasn't, so they built a completely new route (close to the old one though). The old 2-lane expressway between Maribor and Celje was very straight, so they upgraded it into motorway in its entire length.

There's no problem with motorways haveing sections limited to 100km/h.
I think our friend radi6404 is clearlly exagerating with his straightness issues. ![]() Ok, that last section Verso showed is clearlly a bit too much(and it doesn't even have shoulders, si with this one I agree), but I wouldn't generalise it to Slovenian motorways.

Why are the emergency limes always white on Slovenian motorways?

^ Emergency limes?
Well, that's the way it is, they are always white. They were yellow before adjusting to EU standards though. That is, if you meant emergency lanes, of course.

I don´t mean the markings of the lames man, i mean the asphalt, it doesn´t look very nice to see the white limes, the motorways just don´t look new with them.

^ Oh that; I have no idea why they are lighter than driving lanes! I've also noticed it, and I'd also like them to be black (the same as driving lanes; when new, of course), no idea!
