You can calculate that yourself by getting the altitude and distance data from Google Earth. Maybe not completely accurate, but you can get an idea.

1000 m distance and +10 m altitude = 1% grade. 434 m + 16 m = 3.69%.

The formula =

or 100*(rise/distance) on your calculator.

Almost 5%. Now I remembered the Višnja Gora slope, which is also about 5% on the new side of the motorway (ascent) and about 7% on the old side (descent), which will be reconstructed in the future.

The Karteljevo slope on A2 is also between 4 and 5%.

The steepest part of A-network is on between Razdrto and Čebulovica cutting (650-670 m a.s.l. - also the highest point of entire motorway and expressway network and the deepest cutting with about 70 meters between terrain and pavement) where it reaches about 6% (map). In winter this section is known for many problems despite third lane.
The steepest part of H-networks is pretty close, H4 from Razdrto to Vipava, also reaching about 6%.

Isn't the Višnja Gora slope some 7% in direction Zagreb? It's about 60-m descent in 0.85 km.

Could be. The Višnja Gora exit is even steeper.
Btw, were there any plans made in the past for a tunnel between Grosuplje and Višnja Gora?

It is most probably steeper than on A1, but it does not have real motorway elements, design is from 1950s. Also, those 7%-8% are valid for downward only. Exit ramp has even 10% slope.

Tunnel between Višnja Gora and Grosuplje was never planned, just an idea. It would be at least 3,5 km long and that wouldn't be feasible in 1950s, even in 1980s when second half was made, tunnel obviously wasn't feasible.

An old prospect about elements of newer half is available here:
http://www.dars.si/Dokumenti/2_AC_HC...nja%20gora.pdf
It says, that additional 20 cm layer of concrete was planned on pavement, but obviously it was never built. I know, that new layer of asphalt was built instead about 5 years after opening.

i hope Slovenia will never leave current situation. somehow i am a fan of those diveded motorways. i drove few of them and frankly, this one seems to be one of better. for instance, that one near Stuttgart at A8 is one of the most horrible, especially when you have wet road. Slovenian is an airport beside that one from Germany.

The old part was a horror to drive before 2005 renovation, especially in rain. Now it is much better, but it is far from modern standards and therefore still much too dangerous.

It is still not decided, if new lane will go over existing eastbound half or beside westbound half. Local people want to preserve eastbound half to serve local traffic, because there is no reasonable alternative to motorway (only in 2008 parallel road was paved in entire length). Also regarding construction and consequent hindered traffic, which could take at least 18 months it is preferable to preserve 50+ year old road.
