What about the question I had about skinny girls, no matter it is not ontopic, but if two people answer that is not too much Offtopic, I have a video ready by the way of Slovenian A1 motorway at night, it is not bad and I have to upload it.

One tube of the Markovec tunnel is bored (H6 Koper-Izola), but it remains 540 m of the other one.

@ hofburg, I also drove on A2, but ofcourse I drove on A1 motorway aswell, to reach Ljubliana from Croatian border

A1 doesn't run from HR border to Ljubljana, at least not on the route which you've taken

This is why I like Slovenian MW. This helps when brakes fail.
Taken at very close to Črni kal viaduct.

Believe or not, this is H4a type on the local road near to MW at Črni kal


I saw a little strange sign on the local road near Črni kal, it says: Nevaren cestni odsek 5km(supose bumpy for bykers)



Brand new directional signalization on the portal near Koper. With the new portal it looks magnificently.

Concrete pavement in Slovenian tunnels, for safety reasons.



All the tunnel furniture is made from stainless steel



Driving on the Črni kal is something like a dream. You have only a dilemma what is better; an indescribable feeling of wonderful wiev or safety barriers at the sides.


According to new EU motorway work zone regulations and safety requirements Slovenians use lightweight portable mobile barrier on their MWN


Everithing is folded up at Kozina Depot

Sorry, have no concentration.

The pictures below show tunnel Dekani (2190m). Everything was great except right red led studs, poor safety barriers, radio fr.sign and distance sign in front of the tunnel Dekani and of corse, missing light lane arrows above, instead of traffic light. It is an old tunnel and suppose it will be renovated very soon.

safety reasons? wasn't there an issue exactly in Slovenia when they had problems with slippery road inside the concrete-paved tunnels when raining? the speed limit was 80 km/h and they've been thinking about even lower, but they repaved them (and raised speed limit to 1000 km/h)

I think it was even 60 km/h. But they didn't raise it to 1,000 km/h.

All new tunnels have asphalt now, for safety reasons.
Concrete in almost all motorway tunnels is being rebrushed every few years to renew friction.
