I know. now stopping a car there would be also against 'no motor vehicles in the lake' law.

Let's stick to (flooded) roads, not weather maps.

So I got out just a few days earlier .
Are these floods normal in Slovenia for this time of the year or so?

I read Venetia was also hit hard.
Good thing I didn't find any decent priced accommodation in that area for the same time I visited SLO and HR, or I would have had to buy rubber boots...

Devastating floods are more and more common. Two years ago it flooded southern Ljubljana.

This morning I passed the Isonzo river on the SS14 between Cervignano and Monfalcone. It's almost as twice its usual width, the water is brown and many trees are submerged.

U/C Markovec Tunnel (H6 Koper-Izola) on Discovery Channel. Apparently it runs through a volcano and links Croatia to Italy.

Ahh americans

F..k the cola, f..k the pizza all we need is sljivovica

But ok Jokes aside

in terms of quicker access between these two countries through Slovenia you can say that it will connect italy and croatia (ok now i watched the video again and i heard that he used word "linking croatia to italy"... well that is mistake to ) ... and also that volcanic rock is a mistake

Excellent

----------------------------------------------------------
I'm making kind of comparison between croatian speed limit standards, so I have a question for slovenian forumers - are there any motorway sections which have lower speed limit than standard 130 (except in tunnels)? If so, is it because of lack of some elements like hard shoulder (even though I know that A2 near Jesenice and A5 without hard shoulder do have 130) or because of sharper curves than normal?
Is there any section (probably older) which is not in compliance with new motorway standards (like Grosuplje-Višnja Gora)?
