If I got it right (using Bing Translator), there is a matter with awarding the contract. Appeal... And it's said, if construction would start in May 2015, the first section could be opened in September 2017, the entire motorway by July 2018.

EIB will lend 145 million for funding the 303.4 million € of building the 13km A4 motorway. The project is expected to be implemented in the period from 2015 to mid-2018, see press release from 12th June 2015.

Is there any project website?

Here is something, including overview map, but not much else, just in Slovenian:

Maybe that will change later when construction actually begins.

The Italian community of Slovenia complained because the sign at the new tunnel's portal says only "Predor Marcovec" and not also "Tunnel San Marco", while all signs in that region must be bilingual according to the law.
they are right of course. I believe Dars will replace that sign soon (there were some news recently).

And I noticed on A34 (it), Italians already wrote in both languages on signs in bilingual areas, hard to belive now they are even more correct than us (used to be the opposite not so long ago)

but! right after opening of A34, used to be like that:

Camera Roll-183 by hofburgh4, on Flickr

so you can see, they had the same problem. I don't know who acted on it so they changed it.

I think this is actually the first time I see a bilingual tunnel sign in Italy. They are always in Italian only.

Slovenia is receiving the 2015 Road Safety Performance Index (PIN) award for substantial long term progress and high level political commitment to road safety.

RT - Road closure (23.06.2015 ob 09:14)
RT-902, Strmec - Mangart, road closed.
Is it closed only until 23.06?

My plan would have been this, on 27/28 June:

It's closed until further notice. Here you can see the point from which it's closed (km 9): http://promet.si/portal/en/1traffic-conditions.aspx

Oh, to bad
Is it worth it to drive only until closure point or better wait some time until it's reopened?
