I think you're mixing east with west. Although eventually I'd reach both even by going east.

^ True, but compared to the current road, I think we can be happy; it's not like there's some huge traffic between Slovenia and Hungary. Hungarian M70 is just 2-laned, for example.

For sure it will be much better than current road, it just looks more like H-road rather than Avtocesta

^ 110 km/h would be too much for an expressway (max. 100 km/h, although I've heard 110 km/h can be allowed in special cases; it's not in use however) and having no hard shoulders is still acceptable for a motorway, although discouraged. Decision to designate it as motorway is probably political, as it's an international road (the V. Corridor and E653).

Well... and it looks simply better, Avtocesta rather than Hitra cesta

^ Yes, but that's not the only reason. We don't hesitate to proclaim a road expressway instead of motorway, if it's not some long-distance road; examples H2 (still intl., but not for long any more), H3 is wider than any Slovenian motorway (hard shoulders as wide as other lanes), H4, H5 and even G104 and G111.

yes, there is no huge traffic.
currently.

But I think there will be a significant traffic rearrangement:

traffic from budapest-graz-klagenfurt-italy route will go to the
budapest-M7/M70-pince-maribor-ljubljana-italy route.

don't you think so?

Don't worry, they will be.

In absence of full length hard shoulders they are to be built by regulation every 750 metres.

well, it is part of the Helsinki Corridor V., so as the traffic reaches a certain level it surely will be upgraded...
