Wow that is what I call bilingual signage!
Some countries could learn a lot from Slovenia! Congrats!

I don't like bilingual signage at all. It reduces the number of readable destinations by 50% sometimes. But if they insist on bilingual signage, I think Slovenian is better than say, the Belgian signage.

I think BND was talking about signing bilingual towns in Slovenia, like Lendava/Lendva, not signs like Budimpešta/Budapest. If you'll tell Hungarians in Lend(a)va that they can just shut up, b/c it's more readable with only one expression, they'd probably tell you that you can leave out the Slovenian expression in this case, so it's logical that there are both expressions. However Pince/Pince is idiotic.

LOL, hilarious, you could always avoid paying claiming that there was no information about any toll

Yeah, we've already noticed that in the local thread. To be precise, I noticed both of them.

I noticed the 'pay tool' as well imidiately. The Hosszúfalu-mistake not (since I do not speak Hungarian, unfortunately, I like the language).

It 's a pity that there are so many mistakes on road signs. Here in the Netherlands, we have collected a lot of them. Somehow it seems to be difficult to spell correctly.

The pictures (and the motorway of course ) are great. I have never visited that part of Slovenia. (the most eastern part was the road Maribor-Austrian border - and that was stil in Yugoslav times).

Jug = South? (like the Czechian "Jih"?)

Notice that the toll booth isn't in the bilingual area, so it's there only to help Hungarians. It's the only such case in Slovenia, Hungarian replaced Italian.

Hehe, it's probably not the same dialect.

Not at all. The principle is to sign destinations, which exit the soonest, at the bottom of the sign. Lenti exits sooner than Lendava, so it's below it.

Why's there not a single comment on the underground roundabout?

It's beautiful Verso, it really is

I'm really getting lost in this dialect discussion. There is some discussion going on in the Netherlands about the signage of towns in the Friesland province. Some people want all signs solely in Frisian, other don't, etcetera, big discussion

I assume 'sever' means 'north'. Is that correct?
