Nothing particular. Just constant "conversations" between the European Commission and Slovenia. They start selling annual vignettes in four days. I'll buy it right away, just in case it gets more expensive.

New government is still forming, I wouldn't expect much news for at least a month.

Nice pics Verso
New government always gives problems with new plans. Hopefully they have this cheaper vignette next summer.

PS: how about we rename this thread into "Slovenian Highways & Avtoceste II"? Sounds well?

^ They are only on distance signs and more important exits/junctions, at least new ones.

PS: Brežice is an idiotic control destination, it should be Zagreb, it's more than 100 times bigger

Yes, just that we don't sign border town, but the biggest town, but yes, Slovenian. However, we also sign foreign destinations on other signs; in Poland that's rather rare.

And how is someone suppose to know where are Brezice?
They could at least use that HR sticker if not Zagreb.

It reminds me on Croatia in war when they changed all "Beograd" signs into Lipovac (village of few hunderd people)

Sadly, picking small border villages happens a lot. Poland is the king of that I guess but it happens in lots of countries. For instance, if I want to drive from Zagreb to Budapest, they only sign Varaždin, though that's not really a small village but a small city.

They have Budapest. Not all the time maybe, but often enough.

It's not the same though. We do have Zagreb (HR) often, only by all these small and less important exits there's Brežice. It's annoying, but I think it's quite obvious that you don't go off the A2 for Zagreb, or if you had to exit the A2, Zagreb would surely be listed.

Hey Verso, is there any new photoblogs / info to add to the First Post? I noticed most photos are from 2007.

We haven't made any newer photos (except shorter sections). Maybe you could only replace the A5, which was only 10 km long back then, and is now complete. We don't have it in one post, but ok. Maybe you could write it like that: "A5 Murska Sobota - Maribor & Murska Sobota - Hungary". Also for H7 (which is in one of these posts, but for someone who doesn't know that): "H7 Lendava/Lendva (A5) - Lenti (Hungary)" (you'd place it between H5 and G104). And length of the network: 489 km (304 mi) of motorways/freeways and 50 km (31 mi) of 4-lane expressways (no one-way motorway any more ). Of course you don't have to change it every time we get a few kms of new motorway.
