Green Point and Allianz

Even though its the stadium bowl is further from the pitch due to the rugby dimensions, the tiers are quite similar in terms of "steepness"

That distance from the pitch makes a big difference, though, IMO. That's why I prefer the interior of the Allianz.

In some respects, GPS suffers from the same problem as Wembley (though not to the same extent) - a compromise internal layout because of the need to accomodate a variety of sports.

Allianz, Wembley and Moses Mabhida

Mbombela Stadium is the most intimate of all world cup venues.

yes the roof only covers 96% of spectators but with CT rain and the wind you could get wet anywhere on the first two tiers.

The downward sloping roof though increase the protection from the rain.

If the wind is very strong and goes to the side, then you can even get wet on the 3rd tier Actually it depends on where you sit.

Hey if you get wet or not, its all part of the experience
in true Cape of Storms style, a storm will have to make an appearance to Bless the games.

Its kinda weird that the African time and the European time is really similar (Like 1 or 2 hour difference, depends from which European country you are from)

The good thing about Cape Town in Sunny South Africa is
it hardly rains there at all. 90% of the year sun.

Would rather recomend for 1st tear users. Sun tan lotion

oh, man. YOU are weird . Is it really so surprising that Cape Town is roughly on the same meridian as Gdańsk in Poland? and when the longtitude is the same then the time must be the same, doesn't it? I assume you've had some basic geography at school, haven't you?

Great pics Andrewza, the stadium is so stunning. What are those gaps in the roof for, that devide it into almost 4 quaters? They look like thin lines that extend from edge to edge, will they be covered in glass also?

Smile More with the Roof

This is a pic mo found. The previous ones i posted were from last week.
Note the progress and how the roof replicates the effect of the ocean
