Thanks Imre, welcome back. Looks like maybe they're concentrating on the basement / podium first before launching the core!

that could be easily possible. There is not much space in this area so they might use the podium levels for extra space, just like the Marina 23 next door is doing.

Well, at least any kind of construction/progress here at the moment is good imo. It's better than nothing at all!

A few million Dirhams of Structural Steelwork has been incorperated within the structure which is hidden from view. It ties the tower into the podium and raft.
Massive weight...holes left in walls to allow tie beams to be inserted on rollers.

Its progressing well

Great news Bramble, thanks!

Too bad there are no pics of this process, sounds very complicated and interesting!

Sheesh, what happened here? It was going so well, now I was absent for 6 weeks and expected to see a big leap...

Imre, go and help them, you are available, push barrows of concrete, yell at them, do what ever is necessary

And the rest of the huge 18 meters long steel beams arrived a few weeks back.

That's great to hear. Much happening here that doesn't meet the eye huh. Yeah, I can only imagine how complicated it really is to raise a tower over 500m, not to mention how precise everything needs to be.

Thanks for the info BRAMBLE

Yes, but the core has raised two levels. That´s paradoxical.

Great photos Imre, as always!

And, as a skyscraper lover I want to say that I really enjoy the whole project, but I can´t understand why they continue doing more and more buildings when some of their neighbours (Marina Pinnacle, Sulafa) are on hold or with enormous problems selling their flats. The times of madness wasting money finished, so it´s difficult to understand this business.
