Impossible with Dubai's extreme temperatures.... Try asking other home owners who's homes are not water proofed

Here's a good example of waterproofing... The Conrad Dubai is seen here being properly water proofed before the cladding goes on

The burj khalifa has something like sunlight thight glass. This one has the same caint of glass i supose?

Bramble surely knows to what am I referring to, so let's just leave it at that.

BTW, where's the next level? No jump in two weeks on the core already, while the 10th floor was done in the meantime and they already started working on the floorplate of the 11th..

what i hate about dubai development is that most of these towers will need to be removied in 60-70 years and therefore they will be in trouble at that time

Fair comment, but many buildings are overdesigned here. So probably will last longer than you think.

In other news, another floor has been poured.

Core wall pour from L15 To L17 (65m to 71m) started on 23 March 11 and is now complete

Yeah, just imagine they are the walls between rooms also....that is some serious sound-proofing! 6 foot thick steel and concrete walls!
