I remember when the height of Al Marsa Tower was revealed in 2004, we all in the forum went nuts, expecting some biggies ... as in over 200.

How "wrong" we were

don't forget: Al Braj Al Bait with 577m, Millenium Business Center Busan with 560m, Incheon Towers 610m ( two towers), Chicago Spire 610m, Moscow City Tower 618m and Freedom Tower with 541m.

ok some of these towers are not UC but it's pretty sure that they'll be build

Its a great tower but dont you think it looks a bit out of place in the first rendering, we have to wait & see how this one turns out.

Looks out of place because the other towers next to it aren't shown.
Anyway, if any marina supertall needs to get built it's this one. They should release some renders from the other side. Thos skygardens are the best feature and will surely make the tower one heck of an icon.

I think I prefer it this way. The tallest block will be very impressive with everything together. If they were all spread out the end result would not look right somehow.

What about other aspects than impressiveness? Sure it'd look impressive but it's more important what it's like for the residents. What about the traffic, providing necessary services for such ultra-density, wind caused by the towers, etc.

Well there are only 120 or so flats in the pentominium. Can't see that contributing to the traffic much. I think it is a mistake not to have a metro stop here though! Also I hope that there will still be some kind of mall in this area.

It didn't stop there on the Burj Dubai Project. It doesn't seem to stop here on the Pentonium either. What's next?
Incredible!

nice design, but it's just too big. It's silly really and there's no need.

Dubai was great in '05. I think they need to learn how to stop, what to build and what not to build etc.

for all those complaining about the name, I suspect the name should change as this project gets more serious.
