I think this was a very smart thing to do! If you look closely, I believe they are making the whole place a parking lot and placing the green park, shopping center and tennis court on top. This is a very smart usage of space and the environment. I give the developers a thumbs up!

There's no direct access from the towers to this mall, although that would be cool. If you live in this tower you'd have to walk around to the entrance of the mall.

I really doubt this will T/O before 2015!
then meanwhile from china something will rise up ,it will not be the second tallest building by then!!
Or maybe it will if the chinese decided its still early to start the 500 m era yet!

sure by 2015 China can make difference. In chinese cities, more people don't want live in suburbs far the city center that's an explanation to build tallest residential towers, someone like Zorg or Big Dog can explain it better than me. However how many piles have the pentominium ?

There is a place in Atlanta in the US like that actually. It's a pretty neat development concept.

Pretty soon? They need to build the piles, then pour the concrete, etc. that'll take a while.

Is that because the plot area is smaller then Burj Dubai so they need more piles and have to go deeper?

Different standards of soil from the site of Burj Dubai and The Pentominium because of its proximity to the sea could be one more reason elso.
