Looks like the rebar is almost ready for the great concretepoor. Maybe it will be end of this year as BRAMBLE said.

Random question: Don't those stairways get really crowded at the beginnings and ends of shifts?

I don't see that many workers. (ok, it is 25 december, could be more of them next week)

Nice to see the outline of the core already.

That's right, but not for the reasons you think. It's not the date, it's the day.

Merry christmas?
Feliz Navidad?
Chag Hamolad Sameach?

Maybe it just doesn't take that many people. Maybe they don't want too many people down there causing a hazard. Too many people in a workplace also invites tragedy...

I don't think this is the reason... a crowd of drunk people in a disco are way more in danger as a group than professionels at work outdoors, who are trained how to act in a case of emergency.

Last days and weeks we could hear a lot of about Dubai and crisis. I mean that Dubai has now problems to pay the loans. That's why I don't believe, this project is going to be built soon and easily. I hope, it is just my opinion/feeling, but Dubai had bigger plans that can afford.

Not again please ... the developer isn't even from Dubai (or U.A.E.) let alone related to the troublesome companies that were in the center of attention.

wooow so many concrete mixers and croncrete pump at the same time, thx bramble for all this informations and thx imre for the updates

12 concrete pump at the same time

The most common truck capacity is 6 m3 of concrete

So 1 truck for 1 concrete pump. 5-10min is needed to empty the 6m3 of concrete.

12 * 6 = 72m3 / 10minutes

since Bramble said it will take 60-70 hours :

72 * 6 * 60 = 25 920 m3 of concrete is needed ...

Maybe its all wrong
