C25 in high def to the west and east of Vic. This road is excellent if you want to avoid the heavy traffic around Barcelona, however it does have one drawback, in winter it can receive quite heavy snowfall as the road climb to around 800 meter a.s.l. Although it is rare to see more than a few inches, you can also end up in 2 feet of snow if you are unlucky.

I noticed this type of buildings in the Madrid metropolitan area. This one is between Getafe and Parla. What kind of industry is this? It looks like warehousing, but the streets and driveways are far too narrow for any large truck maneuver.

If I am not wrong it is a chinatown... a lot of small warehouses managed by Chinese people

It's not too narrow or trucks :P

You can find a lot of chinese warehouse importers as alserrod said:

https://maps.google.es/maps?ll=40.27...04.06,,0,-0.55

But you can find almost anything there... that industrial area is huge, and surrounded by other huge industrial areas...

I did (last time 2009), the cd-rom is bad, the map of Portugal (1:1500000), France (1:3000000) and Morocco (1:2500000) are very simple (only motorways and main road and cities). There is also a Europe map with the motorway network (also very simple). The maps of the cities are only for the center in detail and a little map of the around area with the main access roads) (Madrid and Barcelona are better and even have a metropolitan area map also). Madrid have also a ring motorway map (M30/M40) with all the crossing.

the details of the map are enough (near all the road are placed) for me, but i think that in the mapping (details, colours, signaling) they could do a very better job (i like michelin maps)

This is from the 2007 map i have now in hands.

This is the biggest industrial estate in Europe, and as alserrod said it is currently a big chinatown. And, as you pointed, it is between Getafe and Parla, but it belongs to Fuenlabrada .

Me!!! Several times, last in 2008. It is the only road atlas to include Spain only, while all other road atlas include Portugal.

I always thought that that's an exageration...

Edit: I checked it... there are larger industrial areas, this one has a higher concentration than usual and it's the largest chinese business area in Europe...

looking a those google street-view pics those roads really are too small for the safe operation of trucks in an industrial environment.

does Spain not have regulations regarding this matter?

It also looks like a fire hazard

There are no loading docks either, apparently they are loaded streetside or from inside warehouses.

They MUST load inside warehouses. Municipalities did not want these kink of business but when they got notice a lot of them were rented or bought.

So they used one law: no streetside is allowed (neither there, neither in other Spanish city) and fine is really, really big as far as it is a business loading. This is, you are using streets for your own business.

Anyway most of those bussinesses are small-mid size... probably the traffic of vans is greater than the traffic of trucks...

P.S. It's a personal guess with no data backing it...

AG-31 Ourense - Celanova

The AG-31 (A-52 > Celanova) will open in a week or two.

A-23 Huesca - Jaca

The next phase of A-23 north of Nueno to Monrepos Pass will open in December 2013. A 5 kilometer segment of A-23 will open in a week or two with 1x2 lanes, after which the existing N-330 will be converted to the other carriageway of A-23.

http://www.elperiodicodearagon.com/n...no_821984.html

Will there be a road for slow traffic as well? From the sound of it, it looks like the old road will be converted to autovía, which means there is no road left for bicyclists, tractors, etc.
