No I never took the pictures. They were posted today on flickr by BusinessTraveller. There are more pics there.
If I were to guess, I'd say the pictures were taken when Qatar Airways had the Oneworld launch meeting, but I'm not sure.

On one of the pictures, they had a flight information board which says QR flights to Baghdad and Lagos and a fake Dominacan Airlines--which isn't true. So it might all be just be old pics. I hope so as the airport is opening next week and there better be lounges

I think those flights to Baghdad and Lagos with QR are just tests since all QR flights and airlines operating to Qatar will move to Hamad from 28 May.

Wow, the lounges don't look ready at all then. The Gold and Silver lounges look almost ready though so I guess QR can use that temporarily.

Indeed, from an employee there told me that QR has 4 lounges, 2 are ready and 2 will be ready soon. So, I assume that the 2 that area ready are the Gold and Silver then.

I hope they are big enough. Im sure QR thought of it beforehand.

There is an article from BT about the lounges which accompanied these pictures.

Further Delays For New Doha Airport Lounges

Qatar Airways’ first and business class lounges will not be ready when the airline switches to Hamad International Airport on May 27.

CEO Akbar Al Baker said further delays to the interior fit-outs mean the lounges won’t be ready for “another two months”, according to Business Traveller UK, which recently flew into the new airport on the airline’s new A319 all-business class service. “It is such a complicated and high-end [operation] that the contractor is having difficulty keeping up with the kind of finishes we want,” he said.

Al Baker said that in the intervening period, business and first passengers “will be accommodated in lounges we already have and if we find the capacity is getting filled we have vouchers for them to use.”

It is another frustration for the carrier, which has already lost $650 million per year through the airport’s delayed opening. The launch couldn’t be put off any longer as it would delay the airline’s summer schedules and impact A380 deliveries, said Al Baker.

Qatar Airways is introducing the A380 between London Heathrow-Doha on June 17, with Paris, Frankfurt, New York and “destinations in the far east” earmarked as more A380s come on stream in the next three years

Transiting in HIA for the first time next week. Excited to try the new lounge.
Qatar Airways has always been my favorite option for Europe - South Asia routes.

Although if they will add Shake Shack to their addition of food outlets it will be perfection for me!

Used the airport on the 22nd. A welcome change from the cramped DIA.

Apparently concourse A was recently opened, with Air India Express, Oman Air and FlyDubai using it that evening. Also spotted KLM's inaugural service to HIA taxying to concourse B.

Only 3 of 10 checkin islands were in use (Nos. 8, 9 and 10) on that day.
QR First and Business class pax enter the building through a separate entrance leading to a checkin lounge. have a The others (like the pictured No. 3) will probably be dedicated to QR economy.

The Teddybear and his Desk Lamp. This was taken post immigration and security check at the top of the escalators. Concourse A was to the left, B to the right and C,D,E were straight ahead

Entering Concourse A. sorry for the poor quality of the pic.

Each Gate has a cordoned off waiting area dedicated to it. (similar to the ones at DIA going downstairs, only much larger.)

Concourse A has two A380 stands, A3 and A5. This 738 was parked at A3

It's funny (and little bit weird) but the only one obsession of everyone since the soft opening is the louges. Open, not open, how many, etc...
But how works the checking, the custom, the boarding, the conveyor belt for the baggages? What the times between every steep, how long is the waiting for the baggages delivery (1 hour like DIA, or less)? Do you know if some baggages coming later or are lost? Is it easy to find a taxi?
Thanks for your feedback

09.00 AM local time (06.00 AM UTC) all flight operations will move from old Doha International Airport to new Hamad International Airport. 'DOH' IATA code will move as well!
In this image Qatar Airways is just moving one of their aircraft from old to new Airport...
The rest of the Fleet will be ARRIVE into new airport from their destination on the return leg of the flight.

Well, i'm definitely not gonna miss the long bus rides to the arrival terminal, even though they were a spotter's delight.

The long bus rides were fun.....I remember a stretch of the bus "voyage" where the buses ran parallel to a highway on the other side of the fence and the buses were themselves faster than the vehicles on the freeway!!

Does anyone here have any more pictures of HIA's people mover to share? I've been rather intrigued since I saw the first image a page or so back.

Will Etihad do a bacon sandwich for that price? I didn't think so.

tullamarine I don't think Etihad (or Emirates for that matter) will do a bacon sandwich at any price!!! Qantas customers on Sydney/Melbourne-London lost bacon from the breakfast menu following the Emirates alliance.

BaconButty I finally understand the true horrors of globalization.
