That is an interesting insight, Could you be more specific as to what makes this airport stand out from the competition?

I've been to maybe 60 different airports in my life so far and I could say the layout of the airport, the look, the smell, the feel of the airport was top notch. I got to experience most aspects of the airport from a Qatar Airways and Emirates economy passenger point of view.

I loved the I could easily watch planes come and go, there was a sitting area where I could actually go and take a nap on these almost lie down chairs. Food options were good. I had a layover from Karachi to Dubai which was about 5 hours and I explored the airport. The architecture is gorgeous and the subtle smell of oud from the local people added to the atmosphere. Airport staff I ran into while exploring were really friendly, smiled at me. Above all this airport was super clean and even the restrooms. Coming to this airport made me feel like I was a first class passenger. I cannot wait to experience this airport as a first class passenger.

Since I did stay in Doha immigration was really simple and a breeze. Getting the visa for entry into Qatar was excellent and efficient. I remember the technology they had setup for immigration and security was also impressive and top notch. The security and immigration staff were extremely professional. Overall the airport was big yet had a cozy comfortable feel to it.

So far my top three favorite airports are:

1. DOH - Hamad International Airport
2. AUS - Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (my home airport)
3. CTA - Catania-Fontanarossa Airport

I believe the line only runs inside the terminal building.
