Gherkin. The other ones are average or boring.

Gherkin, though I have always liked Centre Point because it looks taller than it is.

I don't know why, there's just something about Tower 42 that I love... it seems more "badass" than the rest. The vertical lines really emphasise the height, and the dark appearance gives it an almost sinister feel, like a guardian looming over the city. It's kind of ugly, yet at the same time incredibly cool.

Couldn't agree more...without denying the architectural merits of the Gherkin I don't sorta see it as a 'skyscraper' in the way I see Tower 42......

Before the Canary Wharf Tower was built, the first skyscraper I noticed in London was Tower 42.

Now I like the Swiss-Re followed by the Canary Wharf Tower.

Gherkin is really unique in design, but I don't think it's a very good example of modern architecture. I'm more leaning towards Lloyds instead. Tower 42 looks quite hideous, while the other ones in Canary Wharf are simple and a bit plain. Centrepoint is the oldest one among this list, dating from the 60s.

Is Gherkin a.k.a. "Swiss Re" or am I missing something?

Tower 42 is an abomination. The best of those is Swiss Re, easily one of the most beautiful skyscrapers in the world. Btw, I've never heard Swiss Re referred to as "Gherkin." 30 St. Mary's Axe, yes, Gherkin no.

Tower 42. I love these type of buildings. Most people would say they are ugly and boring... but I love 70's/80's buildings with a vertical lined black facade.
