Always has... Although it's obvious now after 9/11.
I think the guys who created the teaser poster for the movie Cloverfield used this sport of Manhattan for that very reason.

Should top out in a few weeks.
Stunning shot and building! Really good to see different angles of this because it seems like almost every shot is from the west! here's another new angle

This thing is huge, I could see it quite clearly from a few spots on 34th. I wanna see it close up though. Really love this building.

It seems like they have three more floors to go. It should be topped out in about two weeks.

Give me a break.

I really like this building. It fits nicely with the WFC - which I really like as well. While they aren't supertalls, they have their own charm.

I remember when this tower was first proposed, i was thinking to myself, "the new WTC towers should be well under way by the time this tower breaks ground". What a miscalculation on my part...!

And yes, this tower is a behemoth, but i agree that it does have a certain "charm" or better yet a "dominence" of it's own, it's a good looking tower in a good location.

No it would not. Work has slowed down considerably because of the crane restrictions in New York right now because of the accidents. It should top out by July but will look finished when all the glass is up which should be in the Fall.
