In the last photo, you can see basically exactly where 1wtc will stand, in front of the vz building in that view.

Sad, this was going to be my favorite building ever, if constructed. But sadly canceled. :(
It would of been 655m tall or 2184 ft tall. Location would of been of course Dubai.

Wow it's huge! I kept wondering how a 42 story tower could cost $2 billion. Now it's clear that this monster has trading floor floorplates, high ceilings and all the prime finishes that drive up costs. GS rules Lower Manhattan!

It is LEED certified, and a very high tech structure.

From wiki:
"The building will feature an environmentally friendly raised floor underfloor air system. Conditioned air for the occupants is provided by multiple environmental air towers located in the tenant space that deliver 62 degree air into a raised access floor plenum. This underfloor air system provides users with the ability to control their own space temperature as well as improving the ventilation effectiveness. When building churn occurs, workstation moves can be performed easier with lower cost and less product waste."

Under-floor is so much better, since the outbound air is at the top, away from any dust settling. Overhead ducts blow settled dust out when disturbed.

Their building across the river is a block from PATH service. Smart planning. Both PATH and HBLR serve hoboken terminal, and PATH serves midtown a block from penn station.

Goldman Sanch has almost paid back to the government the entire bailout sum. That doesn't mean it isn't smart to save money on the building operative systems in the long run...

Ugh, that's awful. Are they trying to turn battery park city into a suburban strip mall?
