Come on. It is the trend. Cities do not exist for people to appreciate how dense they look in pictures. They should be pleasant for people to live their life in it.

It's a sculpture which is part of a memorial. The name of the sculpture escapes me, however i believe the artist's name etc is on the monument somewhere.

It is a very striking monument, perfectly position to never let anyone who pass by forget the tragedy of Katyn.

i agree with " ilovecz "
just say if one night you want to go out with your friends to a nice quiet restaurant or a cafe on the boardwalk........thats why architects design and build these places, so people can enjoy the atmosphere of them, and have somewhere to go

The amazing this is that not only is the boardwalk view amazing and peaceful - it's actually affordable to people who aren't Wall Street billionaires. I mean look at those yachts in the north cove. They are even crazier in person.

That's one fat looking tower in the skyline of NY. Really like the shot you posted!

Obama would never take away funding from the Navy, that’s the last thing he would do. He is the commander in chief, and in that regard he is no different than any of the last 10 presidents. 5 of those ships have already been built, including this one, since 2000. And 5 more have already been ordered by Congress. There are much more expensive navy ships in development, this is rather low on the scales.

Actually no, for a number of reasons. But agreed, it's off topic.

A little off topic, but does anyone know why the roof of the smallest World Financial Building in that picture (WFC 4, I think?) is black instead of greenish like the rest of the roofs on the WFC buildings? I know the others started out copper and became green with time, but this one doesn't even look copper.
